A Chartered Accountant, David has over 30 years' experience in the engineering and construction industries. He brings a forensic approach and doesn't sit on the fence, providing reports with 360 degree insights and recommendations designed to help clients avoid problems and set themselves up for success. David was the CFO at a national building head contractor for eight (8) years prior to joining Helix Compliance in 2021. He supports clients with experienced financial expertise, insights into the financial health and efficiency of their and third parties' operations. After working closely with the QLD Government Panel examining the Project Bank Account trial, David has helped principals, banks and subcontractors develop the systems needed to comply with the Project Bank Accounts and Project Trust Accounts regime.

Working in senior and executive roles for the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and its predecessor for more than 20 years gives Michael a unique perspective into how regulation of the industry has evolved to where it is today. He knows whet works for construction industry participants, and why things go wrong. With a strong background focusing on insolvency and financial viability, Michael has a unique perspective on licensing financial compliance, and the factors that tip contractors into financial distress. Since joining Helix Compliance, Michael has helped principals and contractors to comply with QBCC regulation and licensing requirements, and regularly contributes to policy and legislative reforms.
